HOW IT ALL STARTED
We have to go back a long way in time to the origins of Slavino. This can be traced back to some friendly contacts in the former Yugoslavia. I got to know the culture and the tasty wines there. This led to the establishment of Yugoslavino in 1983. Through my excellent relationships with the best winegrowers there, I was able to import an interesting selection of wines. It did not take long before I became the trusted reference for most Slavic restaurants in Belgium for quality Slavic wines at a fair price.
Yugoslavino became Slavino after the break-up of the former Yugoslavia.
Since then, I have imported wines and spirits from the former republics of Serbia and Montenegro and also from other Balkan countries such as Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Macedonia.
